You can have bi-directional, secure communication with our providers directly from your browser.  You no longer need phone or fax. You have access to real time information within our EHR.

1. What is EpicCare Link?

EpicCare Link is Epic's web-based application for connecting organizations to their community affiliates. It provides community users secure access to select patient information in our Epic data repository. It is a read-only application with some service-oriented features that we will configure to facilitate business with community users. Examples of community users include people outside of our health centers who might need to review the clinical and administrative information of patients seen at our facilities. This could include the following people:

  • Referring providers
  • Referred-to providers and other post-acute care facilities
  • Contracted providers
  • Providers and support staff delegates

2. How does EpicCare Link work?

EpicCare Link provides registered users with secure access to the electronic health record information like test results, medications, and notes from our facilities.

3. What computer equipment does EpicCare Link require?

To access EpicCare Link you will need a PC or Apple computer, and a high speed or DSL internet connection (dial-up not recommended). You must use one of the following internet browsers to access EpicCare Link: Apple Safari 9 and any later versions; Google Chrome 50 and any later versions; Microsoft Internet Explorer 11; or Mozilla Firefox 45 and any later versions. If you are using a tablet, you must use either iPad Safari or Android Chrome browsers.

Users might need to enable Java to view graphs and scanned images. Additionally, third-party image viewers might install Java applets and other ActiveX components on the client workstation. In this case, users need appropriate privileges on their workstations to install such components. EpicCare Link uses industry-standard encryption technology ensuring that only you and our staff have access.

4. Is there a fee for using EpicCare Link?

EpicCare Link is provided at no cost to those who refer their patients to our health centers for care. EpicCare Link is a web-based service that requires no installation on your servers or computers.

5. What information is available within EpicCare Link?

EpicCare Link provides view-only access to the patient's full health record, including lab results, diagnostic tests, progress notes, medications, allergies, health history and more.
