About Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.
Our Story
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic was born to address the needs of a vital but overlooked population. Despite being the lifeblood of the agricultural industry, migrant and seasonal farm workers were regularly denied access to health care resources.
Our founders set out to correct this injustice in the 1970s and we continue that effort to this day. Our mission to bring health care access to underserved communities has grown our network of care well beyond the Yakima Valley. Today we’re one of the largest community health center in the Pacific Northwest with over 40 locations bringing medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services to people in need.
Our network of care.
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is one of the nation’s largest community health centers, providing medical, dental, behavioral health and social services to over 206,000 people each year. With 48 unique service locations across Oregon and Washington, we deliver affordable, comprehensive primary care for underserved populations. Our mobile health units and virtual visit technology make essential care more assessable to patients with transportation challenges. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic employs 2,178 regular employees, 22 residents, 572 students and volunteers. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized by HRSA, The Joint Commission, and The National Committee for Quality Assurance.
