Mark Koday , DDS

Chief Dental Officer

Dr. Mark Koday has an entire three-decade career under his belt at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC). With those years he brings his many accomplishments and his perspective on the world of migrant health care today.

Dr. Koday got his start at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He graduated from there in 1978 and started out as a Commissioned Officer with the U.S. Public Health Service.

Dr. Koday was placed with YVFWC in Toppenish in 1986 as the organization’s dental director, and he has been with the organization ever since. Originally, his plan was to stick around for a few years, then move on. That plan was kyboshed when he began to learn about the mission of YVFWC. The organization’s CEO, Carlos Olivares, is an inspiring person, says Dr. Koday, and he and the others who are part of the organization live the mission of YVFWC.
